The essential brushes and how to use them

It seems like we all accumulate these large assortment of brushes—props if that’s not you—yet we don’t even know for sure if we are using them in the “correct” way. All you really need is five to six brushes, and when you learn how to master those, you will really be able to step up your look! 💋
🌺 Let’s start with everyone’s favorite and the simplest one to determine: the round powder brush. Since this brush typically has very fluffy, full bristles, it allows the powder to lightly distribute across your face and is a perfect tool for beginners! It allows for easy blending and can be used to apply many different products, such as Faux Filter powder or Hibernation’s Over, Beaches bronzer. Our round powder brush will ensure you have a quick and easy application process!
🌺 Another great multipurpose tool is a flat stippled brush. Since the fibers are tightly packed together, it creates an airbrushed look. Our flat crème brush works well with liquid and cream products, such as our Cheek & Lip Rosé {Cream Blush} and Bombshell Beauty Bomb {Lightweight Foundation} because it glides across your skin, and its dense bristles blend out the product in a way that looks completely natural.
🌺 Smaller brushes are typically more specific as far as use goes, because they are made to carry out a task such as blending or lining. To apply a shade to your lid and out towards the edges of your eyes, it's helpful to use a slightly angled small brush, like our angle eyeshadow blender blush, because the dense slant of the bristles make the shade have more depth. Our small crease eyeshadow brush has small, thick fanned out bristles that is perfect when blending out a shade from the base of your crease out under your brow bone. You can line your eyes lightly using an eyeshadow with our slanted liner brush or using our Eye Batter {Cake Eyeliner} mixed with Draw the Line Eyeliner Sealer for long-lasting color.
🌺 It’s helpful to have a small, stiff pointed brush when doing anything involving your eyebrows. Our brow wow brush with spoolie is perfect when applying a cream brow product or even an eye shadow to the eyebrow. The stiff pointed tip allows you to mimic the appearance of your tiny eyebrow hairs so that no one can even tell that you filled them in!
